Amy wrote many books and poetry works about her mission work in India. Part of her 55 years working as a missionary in India was devoted to an orphanage that she started. Her orphanage saved many young girls from forced prostitution by the Hindu priests. Even after more than 60 years after he death, the orphanage Amy started is still being run today, mostly by women who Amy saved.
