What does it mean to “fight the good fight”? Isn’t fighting bad? Fighting for foolish or selfish purposes certainly is, but according to Matthew 10:34, Jesus Himself said: “I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” The Christian walk is a battle, whether we like it or not, because we have a very real enemy. In this case, it is good to fight against all of the works of the devil. Also, a “good fight” is one where you already know who the winner is. And Jesus has already won!
