Clovis G. Chappell Quote – Step out in Faith and Throw Fear to the Winds

“It is better to make a thousand failures than to be too cowardly to ever undertake anything.”

Clovis G. Chappell Quote Commentary – Step out in Faith

Clovis G. Chappell’s quote that it’s better to make a thousand failures than to be too cowardly to try anything is very similar to a quote from Wayne Gretzky. Gretzky said that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Let’s face it, living in the world takes a lot of faith. It really does. Don’t believe me? Take the chair you’re sitting on as you read this. You had faith that it will hold your weight and not break apart. You let your faith guide you to using the chair almost instinctively. And you’re rewarded for it by reading this in relative comfort away from harm and danger. The problem is not whether people have faith or not. The problem is they are unaware of the amount of faith they have in many aspects of life. If they were more aware, they can step out in faith more often in the things that truly count-the career decisions, the business opportunities, selecting the right life partner, and other crucial choices. It takes faith to make the right choice. You have to dive in there for things to happen. Sadly, we would rather have more faith, instinctively at that, in the chair we’re sitting on than in the things that truly matter and can impact our lives in very profound ways.

Failure is a Mindset

The key to stepping out in faith and taking more chances in life is to remember that failure is a mindset. You can make a ton of money and you can meet the most beautiful people but still go home feeling like a loser. Your mindset enables you to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory every time. Keep this in mind. You can select your mindset. You can choose to believe that Jesus has the very best in mind for you and wants to prosper you and has no intention to harm you. This and many other assurances from the Bible should empower you to take more shots. By letting the fear of failure paralyze you from even taking the shot dooms you to a life of would haves, could haves, and should haves.

A Life of Regret is Never a Fulfilling Life

A life of regret is personal quicksand that gnaws on you. Instead, remember to tap into the power of faith and step out. Your God is bigger than your problems. The possibilities available to you is much bigger and more numerous than all the things you can imagine going wrong. Are you ready to trust and step out in faith today?
