4 Reasons Nothing’s Impossible For God

“The one who says it can’t be done is generally interrupted by someone doing it.”

– Harry Emerson Fosdick

He’s God!

I’m not sure why I have doubts at time about God’s ability. It’s just my carnal nature I suppose, but I do know that when I see incredible answers to prayer, I shouldn’t be amazed, because He’s God! I confess my weakness of faith in Him at times and am trying to do better, but really, I have no excuse. For us, a lot of things are impossible to fix, but for God? You already know the answer: He’s God.

What we Can’t, He Can

I know that when I have reached the point of doing all I can, and I can do no more, I must learn to let it go and don’t stress over things I have no control over. I need to let God do what only God can do. It’s in our nature to try and fix things on our own, but it’s more difficult to do all we can and then to trust God with all the rest, so when we can’t, remember, He can.

Creator and Creature

Not long ago, I was asked if God could make a rock so big that even He couldn’t lift it, to which I said, God would not waste time on trying to answer someone’ question like that, but rather, He wants us to look at Him from a position of creature and Creator. To see ourselves as the created is to see the immensity of God, and that should humble us. The clay vessel is in no position to question the Potter

Already Done

When God has determined to do something, it’s as good as done. If God has sealed you, a child of God, from before the foundation of the earth (Eph 1), then nothing or no one can prevent that seal from being broken (Rom 8:28-29). If God says it, even if it’s not yet come to pass, or won’t for a thousand years, it’s as good as done.

Conclusion

God is the God of the impossible, but what is amazing is God sometimes uses ordinary people like you and me to do extraordinary things, but not because we’re extraordinary; it’s because God is extraordinary in every way and He is not limited by time, space, or resources, so for God, nothing is impossible.
