– Proverbs 3:6
All from God
I have memorized 1st Corinthians 4:7 for a very good reason. If someone tells me, “Hey, that was very good” or “You did a good job on that,” I can only thank them for the encouragement, but tell them what Paul asked the church at Corinth: “What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it” (1st Cor 4:7)? I counted what I have that didn’t come from God and it equals one big, fat zero! I must acknowledge God when I am complimented that it’s all because of Him.
All for God
As we read in 1st Corinthians 4:7, we have absolutely nothing right now that we did not receive from God, so we must acknowledge God in our lives and tell others about the goodness of God and the many blessings of God, but most of all, it’s all from God. If you acknowledge Him in your path, it’s keep the way straight.
All due God
Concerning any thing we do, either large or small, it is “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory” (Psalm 115:1). The heavens give God His due glory. In fact, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork” (Psalm 19:1), so how could we do anything less? None of the Apostles ever bragged about their ability; they did boast about God and His ability because they knew God was due all glory.
All to God
If you don’t acknowledge Him in your walk, then you are telling others that it’s all about me and my walk. Every one of us take different paths in our lives, but the ones who acknowledge our Mighty God in the way, stay in the way and don’t often wander off the path. They might fall down, but God is there to help them up, however, those who refuse to acknowledge God in the path, even refusing the path, end up on a path that’s a lot more treacherous, and I would even say even dangerous.
Conclusion
For believer’s, it’s all about God and not about us.
