4 Reasons Why God Is Always Enough

“God is enough.”

– Hannah Whitall Smith

God is for You

The Apostle Paul puts it like this; “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us” (Rom 8:31)? Think of it this way; if you have had a time in your life where you’ve repented and put your trust in Christ, then God is your Father and He is for you, so who or what could possibly be against you? Whatever is against you has no chance against the Omnipotent (all-powerful) God. That’s enough for me. How about you?

God Shall Supply

Do you think you too little to get by with having so much month left? Think again. Once more, Paul writes “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:19). This says that God will supply every need you have; not everything you want. That’s a huge difference indeed. Some have taken it as “And my God will supply every greed of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” instead of every need. For the Christian, we know that God is more than enough.

God Supplied the Sacrifice

Christianity is the only religion where a sacrifice is demanded but then God Himself supplies the sacrifice. This sacrifice is of course Jesus Christ, Who gave His life as a ransom for many or as Jesus said, “even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Since we’ve been bought by the blood of the Lamb of God, we have enough…in fact, much more than enough.

God is Enough

When all you have is God, you have all you need. He is enough. He carries us when we are weary, He picks us up when we fall, and He forgives us when we sin. Isn’t He enough? He is all-sufficient and all-proficient for every single day and every single hour and every single need of our life. When you have God as your Father, you have all you need.

Conclusion

Yes, God is enough, even if it doesn’t feel like it. Don’t overestimate your feelings. Feelings are highly unreliable and undependable but God’s Word is always true, no matter the circumstances. You can trust a God that knows you better than you know yourself. For those who trust in God, He is enough.
