Devotional: 4 Ways You Can Do All Things through Faith

Richard Cecil really nailed the power of faith on the head. What Mr. Cecil is saying is that, faith is unshakable regardless of how powerful the forces are arrayed against it. When you doubt, however, it doesn’t take that much effort for you to truly freak out and lose your confidence. In fact something as simple as the shaking of a leaf can freak you out. What this tells us is that we can do all things through faith. Here are four ways you can achieve the impossible through faith.

You See Yourself How God Sees You

The problem with living in a fallen world is that we often look at the world based on how other people see it. It’s can be easy to look at the world based on our limitations and weaknesses. If this is how we navigate the world, it is no surprise that we often fail to achieve our fullest potential. It’s not a surprise that many people fail to achieve their dreams because all they see is impossibility. Now when we look at the world through faith, we see ourselves as God sees us. God sees us as victors, not victims. God sees us as overcomers, not losers.

You See What’s Possible, Not What’s Hard

If you take your hand and put it over your eye and you look at a mountain or a big building in front of you, which looks bigger? Your hand, of course. This is the power of perspective. When we fail to see the world through eyes of faith, we basically look at the world based on what’s hard, not what’s possible. This is what separates visionaries like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. They look at the world through what’s possible and this is why they’re able to produce things that were previously deemed impossible. With faith you can see what’s possible, not what’s hard.

You Focus on What You Can Do, Not What’s Stopping You

Similarly by looking at the world through faith, you can focus on what you can do instead of putting so much attention on what’s working against you. If you don’t have any faith or if you’re in doubt, you’re always looking at the negatives and downsides. There’s always going to be a downside and there’s always going to be risk. You cannot make progress unless you take that leap of faith.

The More You Focus on God’s Vision, the More It Becomes Attainable

The book of Corinthians is clear: the more you focus on Jesus, the more you become like Jesus. It can’t get any clearer than that. If you think that Jesus is powerful, you can tap into that power. It’s all about what you focus on. As the old saying goes, what you focus on grows. If you focus on what’s holding you back from success, that’s what going to happen. Your failures will get magnified. Your fear will blow up out of proportion. If you’re focus on Jesus however, everything becomes possible.

Conclusion

God has given you all sorts of power. It’s all in your hands. Unfortunately, we don’t give ourselves permission to tap into that power. All we need is the key of faith. Are you going to take a leap of faith today?
